25 Of The Year's Hottest Songs Make For One Intensely Addicting Mashup
"Do what you wanna do."
DJ Earworm is back with 2014's "United States Of Pop," the ridiculously catchy annual remix he does of the year's biggest hits. This year's tune, "Do What You Wanna Do," is characteristically upbeat and empowering. Like the chart-topping singles that inspired it, you won't be getting it out of your head anytime soon.
"[The annual mashup is] from the ground up, telling a story that reflects our collective experience, but that also reflects the spirit of the new year, in a way," he told Grantland, saying that it represented "the passage of time, and renewal, and this idea of us all going through it together."
Powerful words for a powerful project. How many of the songs do you recognize? Check out Earworm's list of the hits that made the cut below — altogether, they're an exciting celebration of all the music industry has to offer.
