Previews for the new stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are underway in London, with the production scheduled to open in July. The play, based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany, is the eighth Harry Potter story and takes place 19 years after the events in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It is the first one to appear in nearly 10 years.
Potter fans outside of the United Kingdom will either have to go to England or wait patiently for the show to find its way to their shores. And those lucky fans who have seen the play are remaining tight-lipped, hinting at something truly extraordinary on social media with the hashtag #KeepTheSecrets.
In the meantime, muggles will have to content themselves with re-reading the books, watching the films again, or, like these true fans, finding new and amazing ways to show the impact that these stories have had on their lives — like getting tattoos of their favorite Harry Potter moments.
